School trips with room to explore.

Bring learning to life in the woods. Our curriculum-linked outdoor days combine practical challenges, nature discovery and plenty of fresh-air fun for primary-aged groups. Prices for school visits: Full Day - £300 (per class of 30) Half Day - £250 (per class of 30)

Teddy Bears Picnic

Venture through our magical woodland looking for the Tanglewood Teddies! A beautiful half or full day of story telling and fun activities based on how woodland animals survive.

Enchanted Forest

Did you know Tanglewood has magical fairies and dragons? Come and search our woodland for a very cheeky dragon and discover the other mythical creatures of Cannock Chase.  Perfect for little children with big imaginations!

Nature Detectives

Enjoy an autumnal woodland adventure using all of your senses. A great programme for introducing the children to new surroundings. We will hunt for minibeasts, create hedgehog homes, play games and learn about hibernation.

Pole to pole

Come and discover what it is like to live in the North and South Pole. We compare the poles with where we live and become penguins, polar bears and intrepid explorers! A wonderful Autumn/ Winter programme, ending with a warming treat by the fire.

We venture in to the woods get inspired and create some beautiful natural masterpieces for your school. You will be amazed at how imaginative the children become and what we achieve individually and as a group.

Our recurring sessions make the woodland a familiar place to learn. Children return to seasonal changes, grow practical skills and develop their own ideas over time.

Forest survival

Have you got what it takes to survive in the woods? Complete a series of challenges including den building, problem solving and fire. With some hidden surprises along the way!

Living History Days

Stone Age, Romans, Vikings, Anglo Saxons and Ancient Greeks. Choose from one of our very popular Living History Days. From hunting woolly mammoths, building Viking longships, or perhaps becoming a Roman soldier... Fun packed day of historical fun!

Hello to habitats

Explore our woodland and take an in-depth look at the flora and fauna. A day of discovering a woodland habitat, covering classification, pollination, animals and their adaptations, food chain, plants and much more.
